- How are characters counted?
- Every visible character plus every space, tab, and newline counts toward 'characters with spaces'. The 'no spaces' figure strips all whitespace. Emoji and special symbols each count as one character, matching how Twitter and SMS gateways measure length.
- What's the Twitter / X character limit?
- 280 characters for standard posts; X Premium accounts can post longer threads. Links shorten to a fixed length on twitter.com.
- What's the SMS character limit?
- 160 characters per segment for plain GSM text. Including any non-GSM character (most emoji, accented letters) drops the limit to 70 characters per segment.
- Does my text get uploaded?
